Flooding...

As you may have heard...we're having a bit of a flooding problem in the area this year. The dam is fully open and has been running water through at peak capacity for many days now. It's quite an impressive sight, so we decided to take the children to see.

They are used to seeing the dam closed or barely trickling and were very excited to see all the water...or as G2 said, "oooooh scary!"

Even M seemed intrigued...

And since we were there...we let the children let off a little steam of their own in the attached park.

G1 loved the merry-go-round. Just watching them made me sick. LOL

G2 monopolized the slide...

And both of them tried to conquer the monkey bars...

They had a great time and even M was pretty cheerful (despite being in full teething mode).

This is my favorite picture, though. I think it pretty much captures the whole spirit of our outing. ;)

Oh yeah. We're a wild and crazy family. LOL

I love the pictures! "M" is such a cutie girl! I hear (from Nathan's sister) that the falls at Riverfront are pretty great! It's a nice time of year to be in that area. Love you guys.

Your baby is so adorable! I miss you but understand. :) I Love the flood gates, you all must be getting the water we're "missing" this year, usually it rains all spring, every day, and lately it's just been once or twice a week for a few minutes it seems.
