Tuesday was Moo's third birthday.
She is now "free" and a "big girl". All trace of baby has gone. **whaaaaaaaaa!**
Since we don't have friend birthdays until the children are four, this was a quiet family birthday that started out by giving Moo her first real hair cut. She went from long and cute...
I made a sun cake because it sounded like a good idea at the time--promise you won't submit it to cakewrecks...thanks. After duly enjoying the gift opening (including a bar of Willy Wonka), we got down to the real fun stuff.
The county fair.
We played it smart this year and interspersed rides with chicken/horse/goat/sheep/etc. watching. It made for much happier children and less grumpy parents. G2 finally got to ride the ferris wheel (much to G1's dismay--she had to go with him) and Moo surprised none of us by absolutely loving the mini roller coaster. She rode it twice with G1 and would have gone again, if it weren't time for us to go. (watch for the picture with her arms in the air...LOL! The child has no fear) However, I had one more surprise up my sleeve. A camel ride! Whoo! G1 was thrilled! (she wants to be an Egyptologist and anything that even suggests Egypt is met with great quivers of excitement!)
All in all...an exhaustingly fun day.
Let the merrymaking begin!
