Christmas 2009

Since it's March...I thought I might update through Christmas. ;)

Every year the local famous resort (which will remain unnamed) puts on a Christmas light display that is visible from the lake and the boardwalk that surrounds the marina. Every year parents cling tightly to their fascinated children as said children attempt to touch and get closer to the light displays while ignoring completely the frigid water that separates them from the displays. Add icy footing and it makes for an interesting stroll. We usually follow up with hot chocolate in the restaurant...depending on the behavior of the children. This year was a quick drink and go with the Moo refusing to leave the water, silverware, napkins, and siblings alone. Note the plastic smiles on G1 and G2...they were longing for escape.

G2's preschool puts on a short Christmas program for the parents. G2 was a shepherd. The cute little redhead is his friend and puppy crush. Despite the brevity of the program, Moo had a hard time sitting still, so I got a few pictures of her dancing around Daddy.

Christmas eve! Traditional shots of the children in front of the Christmas tree and with the Christmas globe. Amazing how a little snow globe can be so fascinating.

Christmas morning! Da loot pre-children...and the chaos that followed. I love the picture of G1 contemplating the 6 flats in the key signature for The Pink Panther. LOL! The Moo would only open one present this year. We tried and tried, but she preferred to play in the wrappings and eat out of her stocking. Oh well...she was happy. The presents were eventually unwrapped by "helpful" sibs determined to show her what she was missing. She finally figured it out on the last present and then wanted to know where the rest of her gifts were. Isn't that how it always goes?

All in all...we had an enjoyable season.
